Innovative Dosage Form: Chew Gums

Millions of people swear by food supplements as it might be challenging sometimes to ensure a sufficient intake of daily vitamins and minerals despite following a well-balanced diet. However, there is a huge part of consumers having trouble with swallowing of tablets or capsules. We are lucky to present a delicious solution to that problem: chew gums. By the way, the bioavailability in supplements is tremendously higher than in food. This is because nutrients are naturally bound in food and need to be chemically broken down and pre-digested. The bioavailability of synthetic carotene for instance is 50%, whereas it’s only 26% in a cooked carrot and even less in a raw carrot. So synthetic/artificial nutrients aren’t bad at all. You just have to pay attention to the correct dose.
