The difference between white label and private label

You may have heard about those two terms, and you would like to know the difference?

Here’s the explanation:

A white label product is produced with a standard recipe and sold under a certain brand. White label symbolizes the blanc label on the finished product. The end-consumer usually doen’t come in contact with the producer, but with the company distributing the product. For white label products manufacturers always use existing recipes, any adaptions are not provided.

In contrast to white label, private label products are developed exclusively for only one particular customer brand with a recipe customized to their concept or target group. The recipe is unique and hence never used for any other brand which is considered an important unique selling point for brokers.

Of course, you can save a lot of time in the product development process because of those existing recipes. However, they are not adapted to the customers’ individual needs and definite ideas. Furthermore, there is a risk of having the same product from various companies and their own private labels.

We offer the realisation of both versions so you can find the most suitable product for your brand. We look forward to hearing from you!
